MICE Perú 2026: Driving growth and empowering industry leaders

Peru is strengthening collaboration among industry leaders, boosting its capacity to attract and host a higher volume of meetings and conventions.

On February 19, 2026, Peru played host to the "MICE Perú 2026" Specialized Training Workshop—a strategic gathering designed to sharpen the nation’s competitive edge in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and events sector.

The event featured a hybrid format, combining in-person sessions with virtual participation. This approach brought together 140 industry representatives: 25 attended in person, while 115 joined virtually from across the country, representing Amazonas, Ancash Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Cusco, Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lima, Loreto, Pasco, Piura, Puno, San Martín, Tacna and Tumbes.

Organized by PROMPERÚ—the entity responsible for international tourism promotion and the nation’s brand image—the workshop was tailored for companies across the MICE ecosystem, including hotels, DMCs, professional congress organizers, and venues. The session also engaged convention bureaus and destination managers with the potential to attract international events.

The session also featured a specialized study on the Argentine market—one of the region’s key source markets—conducted in collaboration with the Peru Trade Office in Buenos Aires. Featured speakers included Emora Franco, President of the SITE South America Chapter, alongside market intelligence and meetings tourism specialists from PROMPERÚ.
