No vaccinations are required before entering the country.
But if you plan to visit the jungle we recommend:
• Yellow fever vaccination. You should be vaccinated 10 days before traveling to the jungle. However if you are not going to the jungle immediately, you can get a vaccination at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, at the medical center, open from Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day.
If you plan to stay in the jungle for an extended period you should ask your doctor whether you should be vaccinated against hepatitis, typhoid and tetanus and/or take anti-malaria treatment.
Peru's currency is the sol (S/).
The US dollar is accepted in many establishments at the daily exchange rate. Euros (€) must be changed into soles or United States dollars at change the exchange rate of that day.
Changing foreign currency: you can exchange euros, dollars and other foreign currencies at authorized bureau de change, hotels and banks. Exchanging money in the street is not recommended.
Cash machines: are found in banks, shopping centers and stores in Peru's main cities. They dispense soles and US dollars and accept different types of cards (Visa, American Express and MasterCard).
