About the event:

The 3rd International Conference on Social Museology, Sustainability and Community-Based Collections Management will bring together nearly 200 specialists, researchers, cultural managers and community representatives from various countries. Over five days, participants will share knowledge, experiences and new perspectives on the future of museums, collections management and their relationship with communities. For the first time in Peru, the SOMUS and COMCOL International Committees of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) will hold their conferences jointly, recognizing Túcume as a global benchmark for the integration of heritage, community and sustainability. The event also highlights Lambayeque and Peru as cultural destinations capable of hosting international gatherings in settings where knowledge, identity, innovation and living heritage converge.
